Recipe – Energy chocolate snaps

For a sweet nut healthy treat, this recipe is easy and super tasty!

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of 70% or higher of dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 90 grams of mixed roughly chopped nuts: walnuts/almonds
  • 2 tablespoons of flaked almonds
  • 2 tablespoons of dried cranberries, chopped roughly
  • 2 tablespoons of dried goji berries, chopped roughly
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

(Note: use what nuts/seeds/berries you have or like, but these are healthy options)

Method:

Melt chocolate in a bowl in a pan of simmering water, avoid the base of the bowl with the chocolate in touching the water.

Line a baking sheet with baking parchment paper. Stir the melted chocolate and pour onto the baking sheet, spreading over the full sheet.

Mix the berries, nuts and seeds in a bowl and sprinkle them over the chocolate and leave to set in the fridge.

Once set break it up into rough shaped pieces, store in a covered container in the fridge for up to 3 – 4 days.
