Recipe – Energy smoothie

This rich source of antioxidants mops up oxidation which causes inflammation to build up in the body. Ideal to reduce excess cytokines (molecules involved in inflammation) forming in the body. Ideal post exercise for repair and general liver support:


  • 250ml of water
  • 1 cup blackberries/mixed berries (frozen fruit or vegetables are fine also)
  • 1 cup of cold nettle / green tea
  • ½ to 1 tsp spirulina/Chlorella powder 
  • Half an apple and 1 teaspoon of flax seeds
  • Half a fresh beetroot (peel first)
  • 1 carrot

Mix all ingredients in a blender / Nutri bullet until smooth. (If you don’t have all the ingredients, use what you have). If needed, add more water for desired viscosity. This will make 2 smoothies.
